The solar heating system consists of a series of interconnected collectors. The heating efficiency is directly proportional to the total area of the installed collectors. It is recommended that the minimum area represents about 60% of the pool water surface (with a depth of 120–150 cm and use of suitable pool cover). The connection of these collectors is made directly into the circulation circuit (i.e., without a heat exchanger), so the heating efficiency is very high. 

Collectors are exclusively intended for heating pool water; in winter months the collectors are non-operational and must be drained. Solar collector panels are made of specially modified polymer to withstand solar glare, frost, extreme air pollution, and oxidation. They are also resistant to pool chemicals. Solar collector sets include the appropriate amount of connecting and installation accessories for quick and trouble-free installation. All sets are equipped with accessories for installation in a single row.

EQUIPMENT: stopper, couplings, clamps, automatic vent valve. Note – collectors are always mounted vertically, never horizontally. Additional recommended accessories: collectors are mounted on a frame built by the customer. The collector is secured with a fastening strap, connected by PVC pipe with a diameter of 50 mm; we also recommend a separate pump and automation for solar collector operation (it measures the collector temperature and pool water temperature, automatically switches the pump on if the water in the collector is warmer than the pool water). Technical data: performance per m2 – 1 kW/h, volume approx. 2.6 L per m2.

CALCULATION OF REQUIRED NUMBER OF COLLECTORS: the number of collectors is calculated based on the pool water level per m2 (e.g., a 3 x 7 m pool = 21 m2 of water surface). The number of collectors depends on the following: if you have a pool covered with a solar blanket, you need 60% of m2 of collectors relative to the pool water surface. If it is a pool not covered with a solar blanket, we use 90% of the pool water surface. For this reason we recommend using a solar blanket – it reduces the number of collectors needed.
